For shipments to India, please note the following regarding the customs clearance process and applicable.
Please Be Aware: If the recipient/importer wishes to arrange customs clearance through their own CHA (Customs House Agent), DHL can support the pickup in Japan and transportation of the shipment to India. Once the shipment arrives in India, the CHA appointed by the recipient will take over the shipment, complete the import customs clearance, and arrange the subsequent delivery. In this case, DHL’s responsibility will end once the shipment has been transported to India.
What We Recommend: To ensure a smooth handover and customs clearance process, we strongly recommend that the recipient arrange and coordinate with their CHA in advance of the shipment.
Please Be Aware: If the recipient wishes to have DHL handle the customs clearance, any approvals, registrations, or applicable exemptions related to BIS, WPC/ETA, and EPR requirements must be arranged by the recipient/importer, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Indian government authorities.
What We Recommend: Before making a purchase, we recommend confirming with the relevant Indian authorities or your appointed CHA whether LOVOT can be imported into India and whether any BIS, WPC/ETA, EPR approvals, registrations, or exemptions are required for the shipment.
