If your LOVOT doesn’t turn on after you press its nose switch, first make sure the sensor horn is securely and correctly attached. Then, try pressing the nose switch again.
If it still won’t power on, the battery might be dead or the system may be experiencing a temporary software glitch. Please try the following troubleshooting steps in order. *If your LOVOT turns on at any point during these steps, you can stop there.
- Step 1: Place your LOVOT on the Nest Double-check that the sensor horn is firmly attached, then gently place your LOVOT onto the Nest.
- Step 2: Check the LOVOT Icon on the Nest Look at the LOVOT icon light on your Nest and follow the steps below based on its color:
- Orange Light (Charging): Your LOVOT is successfully charging. Please wait a short while. The eye displays will turn white, the LOVOT logo will appear, and it will boot up automatically.
- Blue Light (Fully Charged): Your LOVOT is 100% charged. Wait a few moments to see if it starts up automatically.
- Red Light or No Light (Possible Software Error): A temporary software glitch may be occurring. Remove your LOVOT from the Nest, perform a force quit (force restart), and then press the nose switch to turn it back on.
- Step 3: What to do if docked but won’t boot If the Nest icon is orange or blue, but your LOVOT’s eyes and logo still do not light up, the software might be frozen. Leave your LOVOT on the Nest, perform a force quit, and then press the nose switch to turn it on again.
